Founded by Susana G Baumann, Latinas in Business Inc. is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) membership media organization that advocates for the economic empowerment of Latinas and other minority women entrepreneurs.
Latinas in Business Inc. has gained national recognition through social media, participation in national and regional organizations and events, and its own promotional and educational events.
The editorial initiative LatinasinBusiness.us provides branding, marketing, advertising, and editorial services to entrepreneurs, small businesses owners, and independent professionals through a quality digital platform, digital marketing content, and social media campaigns.
Latinas in Business Inc.’s mission is to create a dynamic and diverse community seeking to promote, support, and stimulate the economic empowerment of Latinas and other minority women entrepreneurs in the United States.
Our purpose is to promote their stories, bringing attention to their innovation and creativity, their power and ingenuity, providing them with tools, programs, and resources that will encourage them to persist in achieving their dreams.

Susana G Baumann, Editor-in-Chief
An award-winning multicultural communications expert and strategist, public speaker, journalist, published author and small business advocate, Susana G Baumann, MAA, MLS, is the President, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Latinas in Business Inc. An Argentinean immigrant, Baumann formerly founded her own small business over 20 years ago, LCSWorldwide Multicultural Marketing Communications in New Jersey, USA.
Among their clients, LCSWorldwide serviced major pharmaceutical and healthcare corporations, and national non-profit organizations and government agencies in healthcare and education including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas and California State Libraries. A highlight of Baumann’s career included being part of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Spanish Outreach Program trainers’ cohort at WebJunction.com in 2007 and 2008.
Baumann retired in 2014 but the same year, at 64 years of age, and with little knowledge of digital technology, she launched LatinasinBusiness.us, a digital initiative that advocates for the economic empowerment of Latinas and other minority women entrepreneurs. It provides branding, marketing, advertising and editorial services through a quality digital platform, digital marketing content, social media campaigns, and promotional and educational events.
In 2018, the initiative gained non-profit membership status as Latinas in Business Inc. and has reached 1700 plus members nationally. The organization has promoted over 650 Latina small businesses and Latinas in the corporate world so far through its digital platform and promotional and educational events.

For this initiative, Susana G Baumann received the 2015 LISTA Summit “Latinas in Technology Excellence” Award; the “TECLA Award” for Best Business and Finance Blog at Miami Hispanicize 2015, and was invited to become a Media Member of the New American Alliance “American Latina Leadership Caucus.” In 2017, Susana was named a “Latina of Influence” by Hispanic Lifestyle Magazine and in 2018, received the Red Shoe Movement “Leaders Who Walk the Talk” Award in NYC.
Named “Journalist of the Year” by the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey for her service and advocacy to Latino small businesses, she has been a speaker several times for regional and local chambers. She was also keynote speaker at Jacksonville University Media and Communications Series; and Panel Speaker at the 2017 Prospanica National Conference in Philadelphia, PA; the LEAD Conference for Latina Students at Harvard University, and the P.O.W.E.R. Women’s Summit in Newark, NJ. Baumann was invited to conduct her workshop, “Speak Up! Tell your Story to Influence Others” at the Working Mother Media Multicultural Women Summit, and Latinos in Social Media Week at Google in New York City.
In November 2018, Susana was invited to Montclair University as a speaker for the AARP event “Women of Certain Age” with Hon NJ State Majority Leader Senator Loretta Weinberg, Candy Straight, film producer, Supreme Court Judge Ronny Jo Siegal, and other exciting women that defy stereotypes about aging every day. Susana then was invited to be part of the NJ AARP Speakers’ Bureau.
She has been featured in several national media outlets including Abasto Magazine, Huffington Post, VOXXI News, Negocios Now, Americano Newspaper, AlDia.com News, and has been a guest to the Joe Torres TV program Tiempo at WABCTV, and several times to Contigo en la Comunidad at Univision 41.
In 2018, New Jersey Hon. Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver was the Guest of Honor for Latinas in Business Inc. “Town Hall Latina Business Meeting,” hosted by Hon. Mayor of Perth Amboy Wilda Diaz, where she met to address and answer questions of Latina entrepreneurs in the state of New Jersey.
In June of 2019, First Lady of New Jersey Tammy Murphy was the Keynote Speaker of the Entrepreneur Empowerment Lunch that took place in Jersey City, co-hosted by Hudson County Community College.
Baumann was distinguished as a SheSource Expert by the Women’s Media Center, Washington DC, starting in April 2019 for her various writings on women’s rights and women empowerment. WMC SheSource is an online database of media-experienced women experts who are connected to journalists, bookers and producers.
In 2020, Baumann was awarded with an Encore.org Fellowship, to consult with United Way of Central Jersey, a nonprofit organization with a focus on child development and well-being, committed to the three pillars of a good life: Education, Financial Stability and Health.

Victoria Arena, Editor
Victoria Arena is a writer and student, passionate about writing, literature, and women’s studies. She is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. In 2017, she received her Associates in Fine Arts for Creative Writing from Brookdale Community College and her Bachelors in English Literature from Montclair State University. Along with literature, Victoria is interested in Gender and Sexuality Studies, which she is pursuing as a minor, focusing closely on women’s issues, gender inequality, and LGBT issues. These studies provide her with a feminist lens, which influences her work from both fiction to academic writings.
