taco recipes

Tacos are fun, tasty, and versatile, coming in a variety of flavors from meat, chicken, and fish tacos to the all veggie—crunchy or soft shell, there’s something for everyone. October 4th marks National Taco Day, a day to celebrate the taco and indulge in this traditionally Mexican dish.

Today we’re sharing a few tasty taco recipes by Latina food blogger, Isabel Orozco-Moore of Isabel Eats on Instagram. Try them out this National Taco Day!

Barbacoa Beef Tacos

“Barbacoa is a Mexican dish made from succulent braised beef in a flavorful marinade and sauce made from chiles, garlic, onions, and a few unexpected ingredients like cloves,” Isabel describes on her blog. This Barbacoa beef recipe takes only 90 minutes to cook in the pressure cooker. Then simply put together with your favorite taco ingredients. Check out the full recipe here.

Baja Fish Tacos

“From the chipotle-lime mayo to the beer-battered fish and the creamy slaw, every single component of this recipe is packed with a ton of flavor,” says Isabel. “I’m not exaggerating when I say that these Baja Fish Tacos are in my personal top 5 recipes that I’ve ever made! I know it’s a big statement, but I’m confident that once you make this recipe it’ll be in your top 5, too.” Try them out for yourself with the full recipe here.

Chorizo Tacos

“This recipe features a citrusy and tangy lime crema that pairs perfectly with the highly seasoned chorizo and helps balance the overall flavor. Nothing gives me more nostalgia of my childhood than the smell of chorizo sizzling in a pan on Saturday morning. Often cooked for breakfast, chorizo is a great protein for any meal when you’re tired of your usual chicken or beef dishes,” Isabel describes. If you’ve never had a chorizo taco before this is a must-try recipe for sure! Check it out here.

Black bean Tacos

Quick and easy, this classic black bean taco recipe is a home staple perfect for an easy weeknight dinner. “Black beans make for a great base in tacos. They’re so versatile and go perfectly with a number of toppings and sauces. I like mine in a fresh, homemade tortilla topped with Mexican rice, avocado, cheese, shredded lettuce, and a drizzle of cilantro lime crema for the best flavor,” says Isabel. Try it out here next time you’re in need of a quick dinner recipe!

Salmon Tacos

Ready in only 20 minutes, the salmon fillets are seasoned in an easy chili spice rub, then pan fried and flaked before being piled into fresh corn tortillas,” Isabel describes.
