Betting on women entrepreneurs

Paulina’s mission is betting on women entrepreneurs to unlock their fullest potential and advance in their pursuits. The Business of WE offers a plethora of resources to its clients, from live professional events–like the upcoming 2022 Business of WE Summit — to an online community of like-minded entrepreneurs and online tools for success. Through her company, Paulina is using her talents and resources to elevate and activate women entrepreneurs and provide essential strategies, tools and resources to help them advance in their professional goals. Additionally she makes it a priority to support underserved populations, which often face challenges and barriers to gain access to capital, professional training, education, strong support systems and collaborative connections. Through The Business of WE, Paulina is able to create a sacred space for these women and help promote the development of local minorities, specifically women of color, and provide them with the relationship building, and inspiration needed to effectively start, grow, and thrive as successful business owners.

Paving the path for others

Paulina’s own entrepreneurial pursuits came after her own experiences in the world of business. She began her career in Finances, streamlining operations and in Human Resources where she thrived in identifying and developing leaders.

During her time in Human Resources, she became aware of the lack of diversity and inclusion in internal job opportunities for growth and advancement. She was surprised by this discovery, and witnessed first-hand how true potential was being ignored. She saw qualified people be denied the opportunity to advance professionally, based solely on how they looked on paper and not on their ability to get the job done.

This discovery inspired Paulina to help change the system. She began using her experiences and expertise to help women overcome these hurdles and achieve their career goals. Since day one Paulina has been championing for women entrepreneurs, paving the path for them, and investing in their futures. Success for Paulina is seeing other women succeed and unlock their fullest potential.

Showing up

Through her years of experience, Paulina has learned that one of the most crucial skills and strengths to have in business is the ability to push through and show up with consistency to serve those that need you most.

Showing up with consistency demonstrates commitment and loyalty to clients. It shows that you are serious and committed to serving them and meeting their needs.

“I can’t stress the importance of showing up as the best possible version of yourself, with ease, grace, and confidence,” Paulina says. “When a woman shows up as her complete, authentic self, everyone will experience her at her most powerful!”

With that authenticity also comes knowing one’s limits and setting boundaries. Showing up is important, but never to the detriment of oneself. Showing up authentically means knowing when to show up and how to best utilize one’s skills to serve their clients. Being overworked and stressed will not lead to desired results.

Paulina suggests finding a balance between work and self-care, which is the purpose of bringing women together at the annual WELLNESS RETREAT in the Dominican Republic. “Always be success-driven and solution-focused, yet know how to use your voice and communicate clearly. Learn to say ‘No’ without explaining yourself,” Paulina advises. “Step down from forced responsibilities. Have a support system and make time to take care of yourself. Self-care and mindset is everything!”

By taking care of oneself and investing in one’s personal growth they are also investing in the success of their business.
