Latinas in Business Inc., a national non-profit organization that advocates for the economic empowerment of Latinas entrepreneurs and other women of color business owners, and 3L Communiqué (3LC), an award-winning event production, public relations, marketing firm, have partnered to produce two major events in 2019. The calendar of events includes the 2019 Entrepreneur Empowerment Lunch taking place on May 17 in New Jersey and the 5th Annual Latina SmallBiz Expo and Pitch Competition on November 7 in New York City.
Latinas in Business Inc. President and CEO, Susana G. Baumann, has been working for several years to provide Latinas and other women of color small business owners with opportunities to raise visibility for their products and services. Baumann partnered with 3LC President and CEO, Zayda Rivera, a seasoned entertainment journalist and public relations expert-turned-entrepreneur, to elevate the production of Latinas in Business staple events.
“Through these promotional events, we achieve our primary mission, which is to help promote and expand Latina-owned and minority-owned small businesses, because without exceptional marketing and promotions, a great product or service would be irrelevant or directly would not exist in potential clients’ minds,” Baumann said. “Under the leadership of Rivera, 3L Communiqué will produce these events with the goal of raising the bar on the successes we have attained in past years.”
Following the success of the 2018 Entrepreneur Empowerment Lunch with over 150 participants, Latinas in Business Inc. is hosting the 2019 Entrepreneur Empowerment Lunch on May 17 in New Jersey from 9am to 2pm.
The event is open to all entrepreneurs regardless of gender, age, race or ethnicity, and includes two sessions with six workshops in topics essential to entrepreneurs, and a Cafecito Networking Break. The event will close with the Latina Entrepreneur of the Month Awards Luncheon, a recognition to all Latina entrepreneurs who were featured in the LatinasinBusiness.us “Entrepreneur of the Month” spotlight from April 2018 to March 2019.
“Partnering with organizations like Latinas in Business Inc. and leaders like Susana Baumann, is exactly why I went into business for myself four years ago. The goal is to continue creating opportunities and platforms for Latinas and other women of color to shine and be recognized,” said Rivera, who had a successful 18-year career as a journalist and public relations pro in New York City before creating her company.
“I met Zayda at a private dinner engagement in New York City led by Nina Vaca, Pinnacle Group CEO and Pres Emeritus of the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Zayda then participated at the 2018 Latina SmallBiz Expo Pitch Competition. The partnership came about as a natural synergy between two accomplished Latinas who are building community around them,” Baumann shared. “I have great expectations for this partnership as it will place both organizations as major players on a national arena.”
